This blog describes the Breakthrough Solutions Model, the third chapter of our Breakthrough Solutions Implementation Manual. The Breakthrough Solutions Model is a fresh approach to strategic planning, as it provides an innovative process that leverages, connects and transforms community and regional assets to create breakthroughs and breakthrough solutions that can make a huge difference in a community or region.
This model also shows how breakthroughs come from focusing resources on those breakthrough solutions that will be a catalyst for much greater development, rather than spreading resources thinly all across the community, which often merely perpetuates the status quo. A real breakthrough solution will serve as a magnet to attract resources and investment from the public, private and non-profit sectors.
